Dr. Miriam Grossman's Letter to Young People about Fifty Shades of Grey

Dr. Miriam Grossman's Letter to the Young...
Before the Fifty Shades hoop-a-la began, I was a fan. I received the first one as a gift and never heard of it due to the fact that it was fairly new. I would be lying if I said it was love at first sentence...it wasn't. It took me a few months to try to read it. I will say, once I got into it, I was hooked (as many of us were).

I did as the rest of the Fifty fans did...got excited for the next book, counted down till the third one came out and was ecstatic when it was announced they would be making a movie!

Yes, at first I was disappointed in the cast.  I mean comeon people, Christian Grey in our minds is the epitome of sex, success and lust.  Personally I wanted Harvey from Suits to be Christian but as the saying goes, 'you can't always get what you want.'

After seeing the movie (and I will note: the actors didn't disappoint), I came across this letter from Dr. Miriam Grossman.  A Psychiatrist who needed to put the truth in front of this subject that hollywood deemed glamorous.

I advise you all to read.  Believe it or take it with a grain of salt....whatever the case may be, it certainly gets you thinking...

DIY Ring Holder (Cheap & SO Easy!)

If you're anything like me, jewellery boxes sometimes just don't cut it!  I knew I needed something that I could easily access my rings without hassle.  This started out as a fun DIY project but when my friends saw this, they all just had to have one.

Since this project was so easy to do yet affordable, I had to share it with the darlings.

Whatcha need:

  • Wooden Clothespins
  • Pastic Napkin Holders
  • Paint (I used Tiffany blue) or spray paint
  • Adhesive rhinestones
  • Ribbon Flowers*
  • Hot glue gun
*Ribbon Flower tutorial will be up soon

Steps:

STEP 1: Paint the wooden clothespins colour of choice

STEP 2: When dried, apply the adhesive rhinestones

STEP 3: Using your glue gun, apply to the inside of the slits on the clothespins and carefully place on plastic napkin holder

Let dry and voila!
